Los Angeles writer and journalist Jen Hitchcock has released the debut episode of a music and humor podcast called Zyzxx. It is styled after her 1990's fanzine of the same name. The debut features singer Lisa Papineau.

Los Angeles (I-Newswire) May 28, 2011 - The debut episode of music and humor podcast ZYZXX has just been released. It is available at www.zyzxxzine.com or can be subscribed to for free through Itunes.

The first episode features an interview and music by singer Lisa Papineau, formally of the 1990's Los Angeles band Pet. Lisa currently performs as a solo artist, with the LA band Big Sir and in several other projects. She will be releasing an EP with Matt Embree over the summer on Sargent House.

ZYZXX is a music and humor podcast produced by Los Angeles writer and journalist Jen Hitchcock. It is modeled after her 1990's fanzine of the same name. Each episode features an interview with independent and underground band or artist, mostly, but not limited to the Los Angeles music scene. Also featured are humorous segments that parody popular culture and take aim at all aspects of society.

Episode 2 of the ZYZXX podcast will feature music and an interview with Ruby Friedman of the Ruby Friedman Orchestra.
