Birmingham (I-Newswire) February 25, 2013 - Dean Capewell’s office and stationary supplies company hold their own olympic charity fundraiser.

To celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games held in England the Dean Capewell’s office and stationary supplies company held a unique version of the great games, with much fun both on and off the field. Parents and Mini-Olympians turned out in the warm sun to take part in a fun filled day of sports excellence and good sportsmanship that would have made the London Games organisers proud.

On the track, the Dean Capewell Mini-Olympians chased the shadows of Mo Farah and Allyson Felix as they ran down their own dreams of gold, silver and bronze. In the proud tradition of Jesse Owens, good sportsmanship was evident in warm handshakes and congratulatory back pats between competitors whether they won or not. A few false starts and one malfunctioning starter’s pistol only added to the fun.

Meanwhile out on the field, the budding medalists were busy giving their all in traditional Greek sports such as discus, javelin and shot put throwing while their friends on the track sprinted by in their own races for gold. Out on the jumping track the kids were busy creating their own records for performance with some stunning jumps made.

And of course it would not be a Dean Capewell event without some real fun, so the traditional track and field events were supplemented with some unique activities including egg and spoon races, sack races and the ever hilarious three legged relay races.

Mini-Olympians, their parents, as well as the large crowd of supporters, friends and family all agreed it was an excellent day in the sun that taught everyone that raising much needed funds for good causes is not just good for the soul, but good for the body as well.
