Concord, NH (I-Newswire) June 7, 2011 - Danconia Media is donating its services to help a local nonprofit organization hold an online auction to benefit impoverished children and families throughout the Granite State.

On Thursday and Friday, the Friends of Forgotten Children and 105.5 WJYY will be auctioning off a myriad of items to support the Concord-based charity. One hundred percent of the auction's proceeds will go toward supporting the organization, which operates the area's largest food pantry. Bids can be made at http://www.fofcnh.org/auction.

Danconia Media, a leading New Hampshire web design and marketing firm, assisted by integrating the auction functionality on the organization's website. The auction will be promoted throughout on WJYY, a Nassau Broadcasting-owned radio station based in Concord that plays Top 40 hits.

“The willingness of Danconia Media to help Friends of Forgotten Children speaks volumes for the company's owners and leadership,” Andrew Barnes, the organization's executive director, said. “The fundraiser can bring us out of one of our group's lowest fundraising periods. The vital services we offer to area children and their families are going to thrive thanks to this auction, and the hard work of Danconia Media.”

For almost 40 years, Friends of Forgotten Children has been helping New Hampshire children and families. The volunteer-driven organization provides nourishment, clothing, holiday gifts and school supplies for children. Last year, the network delivered more than 120,000 meals, 250,00 pounds of clothing and gifts for 1,100 children during the holiday season.

Danconia Media has a history of helping area nonprofits. The firm has a grant program for New Hampshire organizations in need of donated websites; recipients include the State of New Hampshire American Legion Riders, the Salem Animal Rescue League, Strafford Nutrition Meals on Wheels and the Community Services Council of New Hampshire.

“We're glad to help the Friends of Forgotten Children, which is so important to so many people in the area,” Jon Simoni, a Danconia project manager, said. “We're certain that the auction will be a major success.”
