Birmingham, AL (I-Newswire) June 16, 2012 - Boston, MA Pop Rock artist Dan Godlin’s debut full length album entitled Loving On Empty is out today on iTunes. The album is being released through 53 Records.

Loving On Empty is a very personal album that reflects the emotional events and experiences drawn from personal triumph and tragedy. “This album is optimistic in many ways, and pessimistic in others” states Godlin. “It represents pains from the past, and hopes for the future.”

The album was recorded in both Los Angeles and New York throughout Godlin’s college career. In between classes, exams, and a few semesters off, he found time to work diligently in the studio and to produce music that mirrored his feelings and experiences at the time. His co-producers joke that although Dan was a complete perfectionist when it came to his recordings, this quality turned out to be a good thing in the end. They say Dan had a vision for his sound and would not settle for anything different. This, of course, was another manifestation of his “frustration intolerance”, as Dan refused to quit until every single note felt perfect to him. During this four-year undertaking, Dan had fallen in love with everything about the creative process – the freedom, the passion, and the satisfaction of honest and truthful expression – and he has worked very hard to find his niche as an artist.

Godlin will be hitting the road this Summer on select dates of the Camplified tour in support of the release.

From Boston, MA, Dan Godlin began playing Piano at the age of 6 and guitar at the age of 10. By the time he was thirteen, Dan took his creativity to the next level. Inspired by acts like Goo Goo Dolls, Counting Crows, and John Mayer, Dan set off on a journey of songwriting. Listening to Dan’s music, it is easy to hear the influences of such artists as John Mayer, Gavin Degraw, Matt Nathanson, and The Fray.
