Dallas Hair Salon And Fashion Show Come Together For A Great Cause

Dallas, TX (I-Newswire) July 20, 2011 - The ladies of Capella Park Salon, will host “VIP Pampering Night” for six extraordinary women who have survived cancer, this Saturday,July 23rd. This private event will take place at Capella Park Salon in Dallas, TX. These fabulous women will be treated to personalized hair styling, make up applications, mani-pedi’s, and more.

The following night, the ladies will be special guests of “Rock Steady featuring Fashion Rocks”, a theatrical musical runway showcase, at Hella Shrine Center in Garland, TX. A portion of the proceeds of this amazing night of fashion and music will go toward the Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure®. Passionately Pink for the Cure® is an awareness and fundraising program benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.

“I have come across many women in their battles with cancer and am always amazed at their zest for life. Whenever I talk to them, it gives me so much encouragement. Everyone on my salon team has a heart for the survivors for one reason or another, it's just our gift to them for the hope they give to others”, says Aidah Williams, Owner of Capella Park Salon, of the six wonderful women she and her staff will service.

“I wanted my salon to be one that gives back to the community. What better way to use our skills as stylists to make others, who have gone through so much, feel like the queens they are. Our motto here at Capella Park Salon is ‘Come as Ladies, leave as Queens’ and we absolutely mean that,” says Aidah.

The six courageous women were invited to the “VIP Pampering Night”; no donation required. As a new initiative, and in an effort to raise cancer awareness in the community, Capella Park Salon will use this night as a kick-off of events to come.
