Cypress Introduces WirelessUSB(TM) Manufacturing Test Kit

(I-Newswire) May 17, 2005 - Cypress's new MTK (CY3631) is an automated RF test platform that enables developers of WirelessUSB-based devices to test their products in a manufacturing environment. The MTK integrates into the RF test flow during board- and system-level manufacturing, providing a convenient, cost-effective method for early detection of assembly-level failures, including missing components, bad solder joints and pin-to-pin shorts. The MTK simulates a limit-of-operation condition using a shielded test texture and enclosure. The kit includes a test fixture; a variety of cables and adaptors; six fixed, 50 Ohm attenuators; an SMA 2.4 GHz antenna; a power supply; and a CD-ROM with firmware and documentation.
