Cushman & Wakefield Promotes Hollander to Executive Director

New Title Marks Fourth Advancement for One of Firm's Leading N.J. Brokers

Harlan Hollander, JD, has been promoted to executive director at Cushman & Wakefield in East Rutherford, making him one of the youngest executive directors in New Jersey. The appointment marks Hollander's fourth advancement with the commercial real estate services firm, which he joined in 2005 as a corporate advisory and tenant representation specialist.

Hollander consistently has been one of the office's top producing brokerage professionals, with involvement in some of New Jersey's most significant transactions. For example, he was one of the leading team members in Valeant Pharmaceuticals' 310,000-square-foot headquarters lease in Bridgewater, New Jersey. As the largest new office lease completed in the state last year, the deal retained 274 jobs and will enable the creation of another 550 new full-time positions. It was selected as a finalist for NAIOP New Jersey's 2013 Deal of the Year award.

He also represented Health Republic Insurance of New Jersey in its 12,000-square-foot lease in Newark, New Jersey. The non-profit Consumer Operated and Oriented Plan (CO-OP), established through the Affordable Care Act to offer health insurance to New Jerseyans, recently took occupancy of its new headquarters there. Hollander's client list also includes a number of Fortune 500 companies and other notable firms, such as the Christopher Reeve Foundation, Spencer Savings Bank, Verint Systems, SeaCube Container Leasing, HCL Technologies, Stop & Shop and Rockwood Holdings, among others.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Hollander was a practicing attorney at a Manhattan-based law firm, specializing in litigation. Hollander earned a bachelor's degree in business consulting at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and continued his education at New York Law School, where he obtained his JD degree. Hollander is a licensed New York Broker, New Jersey salesperson and admitted attorney in the State of New York. He is active in charitable work for The American Cancer Society, The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, Partnership for a Drug Free America, The Special Olympics, Movember and The MaxCure Foundation.
