Cullom Eye & Laser Center Adopts 2 - Mile - Stretch Highway; Joins VDOT’s “Adopt a Highway Program

Williamsburg (I-Newswire) October 9, 2011 - Cullom eye and laser center, the Williamsburg based Ophthalmology Practice, has announced the adoption of a two mile stretch highway to become a willing sponsor of VDOT’s ambitious “Adopt a Highway Program”.

This highway stretch adoption, extending on route 199 from Monticello Ave to John Tyler parkway reiterates Cullom Eye & Laser Center’s continued efforts to guarantee a cleaner, healthier and pollution free environment for the present and future generations.

“Adopt a Highway Program” also known as “sponsor- a –highway” is a promotional initiative undertaken by several US and Canadian states / provinces to encourage volunteers to keep a stretch of highway free of litter.

Focused on cleaning, enhancing and preserving the state’s environment, sponsors of the program are expected to clean up their respective 2 mile stretch highway at least three times per year in return for due recognition and an option to display their names openly.
