CROS NT Announces EPharma Day Series 2012

Verona (I-Newswire) January 27, 2012 - CROS NT and ARITHMOS, in conjunction with Easy-b Marketing and Event Services, has released the schedule and details for the ePharma Day Series 2012. As in past years, the events are to take place in Italy, Germany and Spain. However, two more events have been scheduled for 2012 including one in Russia and one in the United Kindgom.

The theme of the ePharma Day series 2012 is “Electronic Source Documentation in Clinical Investigations and Electronic Submission to Health Authorities eCTD”. Some topics covered will be eSource documents, EudraCT/OssC, eManagement of Pharmacovigilance, computer systems and advanced technology. The topic of electronic data submissions and technology in clinical trials is very timely.

The ePharma Day series began in 2009 with a one-day conference in Milan, Italy hosted by CROS NT and Easy-b. In 2010, German ePharma Day was added as CROS NT expanded with an office in Augsburg. Last year, the inaugural Spanish ePharma Day was held in Barcelona, Spain. The goal of the ePharma Day series is to promote relevant and timely topics in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry on a national level by inviting local experts to speak. The ePharma Day series are dual language events: the local language and English.

Due to the growing popularity of the ePharma Day series, two events have been added for 2012. The United Kingdom was a logical choice as CROS NT has expanded operations there this month and has a new Vice President, Andrew MacGarvey. The UK is also a hub for many large pharma companies and CROs.

Russia is an increasingly important market in clinical trials. The Russian market is at the center of the Eastern European growth spurt. Russia is part of the BRICM (Brazil, Russia, India, China, Mexico) emerging markets and the its pharmaceutical market generated $1 billion in 2009 with a growth rate of 14,5 percent.

19 JULY: RUSSIA ePHARMA DAY in Moscow, Russia
(TBD) SEPTEMBRE: UK ePHARMA DAY in London, UK
25 OCTOBER: Spanish ePharma Day in Madrid, Spain
