Creative Marketing Strategy Nets National Award for Innovative Female Entrepreneur

(I-Newswire) November 19, 2009 - Just returning from a business trip to the US, Janet is now preparing for the effects this national award will have on her business, Wonderful Web Women.

Over the past three years, Janet has created an empire which spans international speaking engagements, best-selling publishing deals and helping thousands of people around the world create their own online business through her membership website.

Janet won the Women in Business category and went on to win the overall award from the Marketing Communications Executives International (MCEI) association on 30 October. This award cements Janet’s standing as one of Australia’s top marketers.

Her entry will now go to an international jury to be judged for the Marketing Excellence Award against winning entrants from overseas.

A former nurse and online art gallery owner, Janet started with a mere two clients and now has helped more than 7000 business owners, largely due to her innovative marketing strategies. Her business has grown more than 100 per cent each year since inception.

Thrilled to have her entrepreneurial efforts recognised on the international stage, Janet said she was flattered to receive the award.

“I feel quite honoured to receive this award, particularly when I saw the other people who were finalists,” Janet said.

“It was an extremely credible awards program with a detailed application and a comprehensive judging panel, making the process very worthwhile. It will be interesting to see how my marketing strategies compare with my overseas counterparts in the international award.

Janet now also mentors 40 entrepreneurs to create profitable businesses using smart marketing strategies. She headlines seminars and conferences in the area of online marketing all over the world.

There were six categories in the MCEI awards and one overall winner, judged by a panel of nine. The judging panel praised Janet’s high level of creativity in the marketing strategies she outlined in her application.

“It is obvious that Janet is an unstoppable business builder who identifies problems and overcomes them with innovative solutions,” the panel’s notes stated.

Janet won a trip for two to Club Med Phuket with $1000 spending money, as well as a hamper, trophy and a framed certificate.
