Construction Equipment To Come Alive For Young Readers

Birch Equipment to Participate in Blaine, Washington Public Library Summer Reading Program

A picture may speak 1,000 words, but nothing beats the real thing. Preschool aged children are in for a real treat this summer when they attend the Blaine Public Library Summer Reading Program "Dream Big: Read!" on Tuesday, June 19th. Not only will they hear a story about construction equipment, they will get to see, touch and even sit in an actual piece of gear, courtesy of Birch Equipment Rental and Sales, Inc.

Birch Equipment staff members will read the book to children, then take them outside to look at the equipment and ask questions.

"The opportunity to interact with local youth and teach them about construction equipment is exciting, because this is an industry I have learned about and love," said Bellingham Store Manager Jeninne Duncan. "Seeing their excitement in something that I have made my career is really gratifying to witness."

The summer reading program is scheduled to occur on Tuesdays from May 22 - September 11 from 10:30am - 11:30am. For more information about the program, visit the Blaine Public Library website at www.wcls.org.
