Companion Home Care of Long Island, entering our 10th year serving seniors and the disabled of Long Island is proud to announce plans to expand into the Metro NYC area.
As part of this expansion CHC has begun an initiative to hire veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Companion Home care of Long Island believes that Veterans can be instumental in assisting other veterans who require custodial care as part of their recovery from war related disabilities.
CHC will be offering to match vet to vet for all of clients that fit the criteria. It is the hope that this will help those veterans who have returned from the service with mild symptoms of PTSD in addition to any physical injuries that might restrict their ability to carry out the daily activities of living.

Companion Home Care of Long Island provides assistance with cooking, light housecleaning, transportation to doctor appointments or the local V.A. and socialization for the disabled vet. This is in addition to similiar services they already provide to seniors and others in the NY and Long Island area.
They are proud to offer these employment opportunities to our returning war vets and will provide training to all those who need it.Dorothy Anderson, President and CEO is quoted as saying of this initiative: "It is our hope that this will become a fulfilling career path for those returning to the states after having served our nation".

In order to facilitate this new initiative Companion Home Care of Long Island will be expanding their service area to cover New York City including Queens, Brooklyn and the surrounding areas.
