For a second consecutive year, TheSkykid.com has announced its nominations for films categorized as “coming of age”.

(I-Newswire) April 17, 2010 - For a second consecutive year, TheSkykid.com has announced its nominations for films categorized as “coming of age”.

“A coming of age movie is a film in which the central plot revolves around a person suddenly facing a life changing experience, trial or tribualtion.That person, who was once naive or childish or pre-pubescent, is now suddenly older and wiser because of the experience. They see life and their place in the universe for the first time. “

This year nominations include seven different categories:

• Special Soundtrack Award
• Best Newcomer
• Best Acting Award
• Best Performance in a TV Film
• Coming Of Age Value Award
• Best Cinematography Award
• Best Short Film Award

In addition, voters are encouraged to nominate their own films and actors which will be included in a special vote for the viewer’s awards once the official results are announced at the beginning of June.
