Comfort Supply Opens Sixth Location in Chattanooga

Nashville, TN (I-Newswire) December 2, 2011 - Comfort Supply, a wholesale distributor of Ruud HVAC products, announced today the opening of a sixth location in Chattanooga. The new warehouse and showroom at 3000 Broad Street will be the first Ruud PROSTOCK store for the company that has locations in Nashville, Clarksville, Cookeville, Knoxville and Murfreesboro.

The 20,000-square-foot Chattanooga store of Comfort Supply will offer parts and supplies that residential and commercial contractors need to install and service HVAC equipment.

“With this being a PROSTOCK store, our customers will benefit by having access to a greater PROSTOCK product offering, and greater stock consistency,” said Jeremy Whitworth, branch manager for the new store.

In 2010, Business Facilities magazine ranked Chattanooga first in the country for metro economic growth potential. The magazine cited Volkswagen’s $1 billion assembly plant in Enterprise South industrial park that, when ramped up, will employ more than 2,000 workers. An adjoining supplier park will create another 500 jobs.

“Chattanooga, with its recent growth due to the addition of the Volkswagen plant, is the perfect location for our new store. This area is growing quickly and it is our opinion that it will only continue to grow in the coming years,” said Clay Blevins, president of Comfort Supply. “We look forward to forming new customer relationships and cementing our commitment to the city of Chattanooga.”

Comfort Supply has grown at a rapid rate in recent years, expanding from one location in Nashville to six within five years. Its first new location in Murfreesboro opened in 2006, the Cookeville office opened in 2008, Clarksville opened last year and Knoxville opened in the spring of this year. The company’s revenue has quadrupled since 2002, and the company has grown from six to more than 40 employees.
