(I-Newswire) November 17, 2009 - SAN DIEGO, CA – The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing a 12th Combat Veteran For Congress. He is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work at reining in the out-of-control spending by the Pelosi Congress. Major Michael Crimmins, USMC (Ret) (R-CA-53) was the Republican nominee in the 2008 Congressional race for the 53rd against Congresswoman Susan Davis (D-CA-53). He has already been endorsed by Congressman Duncan H. Hunter, Sr. (Ret), Congressman Barry M. Goldwater Jr. (Ret), Congressman Tom Tancredo (Ret), California State Senator Mark Wyland, California State Assemblymembers Joel Anderson and Nathan Fletcher.

Major Michael Crimmins was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps, served one combat tour of duty in Vietnam as an artillery officer assigned to the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. Following his return to CONUS, he went through flight school and became an A-6E Intruder Bombardier/Navigator and subsequently served in Operation Desert Shield / Desert Storm.

Michael received a Purple Heart and the Combat Action Ribbon for action in Vietnam. If you review his platform statement on his website, www.CrimminsForCongress.com, you would be pleased with his views and that they agree with the Combat Veterans For Congress Mission Statement. We look forward to supporting Major Crimmins in any way we can, and are so pleased that a Combat Veteran of his caliber is running for Congress.
