Church of Scientology Announces Arts Seminars in 2012

The Church of Scientology announced this week that it is filling up its schedule for 2012 with seminars to help aspiring artists.

Nashville (I-Newswire) December 28, 2011 - The Church of Scientology & Celebrity Centre Nashville has a mission. “Our purpose is to help artists,” says Corinne Sullivan, president of the church, who continues, “When you elevate the artist, you uplift the entire community.” The Church, located at 1130 8th Avenue South, has booked a series of seminars with celebrity musicians and visual artists to assist the blossoming talent in Nashville. Many will be flying into Nashville from Hollywood to deliver the seminars.

The year will kick off its seminars with Tony Harnell on January 28th who plans to discuss “an inside look into lasting success in entertainment”. Harnell was most famous as the front man for the Norwegian rock band TNT for twenty-three years. Now he is a recording artist, songwriter and producer.

On February 11, at 10am the church will present Maestro Paul Polivnik who will give a seminar on “how to achieve success in the orchestral world”. Polivnick is a prominent figure on the world stage, conducting fine orchestras across the United States, Europe and Asia. A graduate of Julliard, Polivnik has been nominated for the Seaver Award which is given annually to the most outstanding young conductor in the USA. He has conducted over 360 concerts, and served as Music Director for Oberlin Conservatory Orchestras, New Hampshire Music Festival and Alabama Symphony Orchestra.

Polivnik will be followed by Tony Rockliff, an internet and social media expert who will discuss “how to market yourself in the music industry”. He has been to Nashville many times in the past to deliver similar seminars and always brings insight into the world of internet marketing. His seminar is March 24th. Tony has been the featured speaker on SEO, Niche Affiliate Marketing and the dynamics of Internet social community building at conferences across the world, as well as giving seminars to help musicians use the Internet to further their careers.

Visual artist A.D. Maddox is scheduled for April 14 when she will be discussing her “precise answer to marketing and publicity in visual arts”. Maddox is a world renowned flying fish artist who has been featured in many issues of Gray’s Sporting Journal, American Angler, Big Sky Journal, The Contemporary Sportsman, Wild on the Fly and has done work for major outdoor companies such as Patagonia and many other online publications. In the words of Fly Fishing Central’s Paul Schmur, “Take a very creative lady, some oil on canvas, and a high speed Ducati and what do you get? You get AD Maddox, and a very colorful and innovative form of art.”

“We are proud to host these seminars,” says Rev. Brian Fesler, pastor of the church. “Our president has done an amazing job at lining up such great talent, and this is our way of fulfilling our commitment to the artists and creative people of Nashville.” The seminars are open to the public. Some have a small fee that includes the cost of a book by L. Ron Hubbard. For more information on the church’s upcoming seminars for artists, call 615-687-4600 or visit www.scientology.org.
