Chicago State University Welcomes Summer with the Smooth Sounds of Jazz

South Side Campus Kicks Off 4th Annual "Jazz in the Grazz" Concert Series

Chicago State University (CSU) recently announced details for the 4th Annual "Jazz in the Grazz" concert series, which aims to bring families from throughout Chicago out to the CSU campus to enjoy the sounds of a variety of talented jazz musicians.

This year's "Jazz in the Grazz" will take place each Wednesday evening starting on June 26 and running through September 11. The concerts will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at CSU's outside amphitheater, located behind Douglas Hall at 9501 South King Drive in Chicago. The concerts are free and open to the public.

Watson, President of Chicago State University said. "Jazz in the Grazz is a perfect example of the positive impact CSU events can have on surrounding communities. This year's concert series features an array of exquisite jazz vocalist and musicians including Terisa Griffin, vocalist best known for her participation on NBC's "The Voice", and Chicago native Tracye Eileen. Other star-studded performances include Lee England Jr., best known for being a virtuoso violinist and having been recently signed to represent the Jordan Brand, as well as playing for Alicia Keys.
