Chicago author and premier Kindle author, Bryan W. Alaspa, has decided to participate in an Amazon.com promotion that will allow Kindle users to lend his books to others and provide some of his novels for free during Christmas.

Chicago, IL (I-Newswire) December 10, 2011 - Chicago horror and thriller novelist Bryan W. Alaspa is continuing to develop his successful publishing relationship with Amazon.com by making, for 90 days, all of his novels exclusive for Amazon customers. The decision was made thanks to efforts made by Amazon to encourage authors to make books available to Amazon Prime customers.

“I have done very well publishing my books myself and selling them for e-readers on Amazon.com,” said Mr. Alaspa. “This was a deal I just felt was perfect for the time. Amazon Prime members will get exclusive access to my books, for a time, and will even have the chance to download them for free for a time. It really just expands my potential audience.”

From December 23 through December 27, just in time for the holidays, all of Mr. Alaspa’s books will be free for Amazon Prime members as part of the Kindle Owner’s Lending Library. Mr. Alaspa, by agreeing to participate in this, has made his novels available exclusively for the Kindle library for 90 days. It will allow Kindle users to borrow the books and lend them to others who also have Kindles.

Right now the new Amazon Kindle Fire is the second most popular tablet device on the market after the iPad. Amazon Fire owners can sign up to get exclusive content through the new Amazon Prime service. Members who sign up for Amazon Prime get exclusive benefits that those who are not members do not receive.

“It’s just another step in proving that e-books are the way of the future,” said Mr. Alaspa. “Doing this promotion right around Christmas, just as people are opening and using their new Kindle Fires and Kindles is just perfect timing. And that’s part of what I love about working with Amazon.com. They really help us indie publishers out with these promotional opportunities. But for Nook, Kobo, and other users, my books will be back at other sites at the end of the promotion.”

Mr. Alaspa is the author of the bestselling Kindle horror novel RIG: A Novel of Terror. In October he published his latest horror novel, the ghost story The Dead Phone to great acclaim and sales.
