While fishing is good year-round, there is one time of the year that fishing enthusiasts from around the globe recognize this as one of the most exciting times to be on the Chesapeake Bay. This is in addition to “Jessie Girl,” which is a 52’ custom Chesapeake equipped with twin 600HP Caterpillar engines. Each are certified by the U.S.C.G. for up to 47 passengers.

The striped bass move to the tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay to spawn, and the season opens just as they come back from the tributaries. Even though no one can accurately predict their exact day of arrival, the Chesapeake Bay Sport Fishing fleet begins to keep an eye out for the large striped bass starting in early April.
