Chemcrest Replacement. Ekena Millwork

(I-Newswire) September 14, 2010 - This recession has taken one more millwork casualty – Chemcrest Architectural Products. Chemcrest has been one of the most prominent urethane millwork manufacturers for over 20 years. Even though they were not the largest manufacturer in the industry, Chemcrest had a great team of sales reps and entrenched distribution channels. Yet even with these great tools, they too, finally fell to the hardships of today’s economy. As of about two weeks ago, Chemcrest Architectural Products closed its doors. This urethane millwork giant leaves a gaping hole in the urethane millwork distribution channels.

With Chemcrest’s millwork products no longer available, the company’s dedicated customers will be looking for product replacements. The last two weeks have been a scramble to find adequate replacements.

According to one of Chemcrest’s oldest and most dedicated customers – Ginger Rushing, a prominent online retailer of Chemcrest Products (www.yourlightsite.com) – Ekena Millwork is the best alternative she’s found. Ginger says that Ekena’s products are “as good if not better than any I have seen, including the well known name brands.” In a conversation, Ginger also noted how inexpensive Ekena’s products were, saying that the company was almost “giving the product away.”
