Cheapest City for Renting a Car in USA
Las Vegas has cheaper car rentals as compared to other destinations in United States.
Online, May 14, 2014 (Newswire.com) - A survey was conducted by CheapCarRental.net and it was found that Las Vegas is cheaper than any other city in United States for renting a car. This website compared car rental rates of 50 cities in United States via a travel Meta search engine, Kayak. According to the survey, New York is the most expensive destination where in the cost for renting a car is almost $76. The average rate for renting a car in Las Vegas was found out to be nearly two-third less than that in New York.
Las Vegas ranked at 47 while New York was at the top in terms of expensive cities for car rentals. Orlando stood at the last in the list. In other words the price in Vegas for renting a car was $2 more than that in Orlando. The survey was a very interesting one and spanned from June 2013 to May 2014. City's main airport was selected as the pick-up and drop-off location. Price of a five-day rental was taken into account, two weeks prior to pick-up date.
A lot of people from various countries flock to this city each month for enjoying some best pool parties in Vegas, gambling, live concerts, events and the well known Las Vegas exotic car racing. So this is good news for most of the visitors as they will have to rent a car from airport to their hotels.
The website viz. CheapCarRental.net also noted that the cost of rent would fluctuate heavily during the peak season. Travellers could find a car for less than $20 per day during the offseason in a city like Miami whereas during the peak season the cost would exceed $60.
