Cecil Murphey, E.N. Joy and TJ Hemphill Lead Christian Film Festival

The 3rd Annual GloryReelz Christian Film & Literary Conference to assist faith-based filmmakers, playwrights and literary entrepreneurs.

The 3rd Annual GloryReelz Christian Film Fest, Writer's Lab and Conference kicks off Saturday June 7, 2014 with workshops and panels on everything from cinematography and publishing to screenplays and entertainment law and taxes. Renowned Christian filmmakers and writers' Cecil Murphey (Gifted Hands -The Ben Carson Story and 90 Minutes in Heaven) and Dr. Stan Williams (The Moral Premise) along with Author and Acquisitions Editor E.N. Joy (More Than I Can Bear, I Ain't Me No More), and famed playwright and composer TJ Hemphill (Perilous Times, All Men Can't Be Dogs) will lead the festival.

The theme this year is: Equip, Inspire, Entertain- Threefold Filmmaking and Writing. GloryReelz is an opportunity for films, stage plays and books looking to be made into films, to affect change worldwide using faith-based, redemptive and family friendly themes. Media makers also have the opportunity to take their craft to a higher level of excellence while a select few are offered distribution, publication and agent opportunities. Film Screenings from all over the world, run all day showcasing some of the best Christian and faith-based films as well as book signings and discussions.

This year the Art and Business of Theatre and 18 Secrets to Successful Screenplays and Novels will be offered as Master Classes. A remarkable line-up of instructors, including Authors- Beverly Jenkins, Karen White Owens, Linda Glaz, Gail Gaymer Martin, Prof. Aaron David Harris, Dr. Sabrina Black, Filmmakers- Penny Carlisi, Daniel Knudsen, Doc Benson, Paul Schneider, Atty. Linda Bruton, Animation Videographer Tony Brown, and Cinematographer Aaron Bosco Miller, will spend the day sharing knowledge and helping attendees to develop new skills in efforts to teach the business of ministry, creating quality projects and turning a passion into a profession. Guests will meet an agent from Hartline Literary Agency and be able to pitch manuscripts to Urban Christian Books for publication consideration.

The conference has several benefits, such as: a viable means to train youth interested in filmmaking, cultivates new relationships, builds business skill sets, increases literacy rates, helps to build stronger families and gives glory to God. The weekend event that includes prayer, praise and worship, then closes with a Red Carpet Awards Ceremony honoring the best of the best.
