Casey Gerry Partner Recognized By The American Association For Justice

(I-Newswire) July 30, 2010 - SAN DIEGO, Calif…. Frederick Schenk—a partner with San Diego-based law firm Casey Gerry—has earned the prestigious Wiedemann Wysocki National Finance Council Award from the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the nation's largest trial bar.

The Wiedemann Wysocki award is named in honor of Fritz Wiedemann and James Anthony Wysocki, two New Orleans-based attorneys who died in a plane crash while traveling to an AAJ event.

Schenk received the annual award on July 11, 2010 at the AAJ's annual conference in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. All 2010 award recipients were selected by AAJ president Anthony Tarricone, and were honored for their commitment to the legal profession and efforts to improve the civil justice system.

A seasoned trial lawyer, Schenk has a longstanding commitment to the AAJ, and serves on the organization's Board of Governors. He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

Concentrating his practice on products liability, personal injury and asbestos law, Schenk co-authored the LexisNexis California Automobile Litigation Handbook, and since 2005 has been listed in Woodward and White's Best Lawyers In America. He is listed in Super Lawyers magazine, and was awarded the “Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award” by the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego. In addition, he served as president of the Consumers Attorneys of San Diego; is past-president of the Civil Justice Foundation, a Washington D.C.-based non-profit organization dedicated to funding pro-consumer advocacy; is a past-president of The Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center of San Diego and was vice president of the 22nd District Agricultural Association (San Diego County Fairboard).
