Caring 4 Kids Foundation and Treasure Island, Las Vegas Team Up to Bring Easter Joy to Las Vegas Valley Children

Caring 4 Kids Foundation and Treasure Island, Las Vegas are teaming up this Easter to ensure 200 Las Vegas Valley children have an extra special holiday.

In a true grass-roots effort, Caring 4 Kids Foundation and Treasure Island, Las Vegas are teaming up this Easter to ensure 200 Las Vegas Valley children have an extra special holiday.

The announcement comes as no surprise as Caring 4 Kids Foundation has been in the business of helping feed children in need for over five years. Voted Best Community Organization in 2006 by the Las Vegas Review Journal, this year's effort will bring 200 weekend bags of food as well as 200 Easter baskets to 200 very needy and very deserving elementary school children.

These first, second, and third grade children are those who typically only get to eat Monday through Friday, but not on the weekends due to either having too many people in one home or other unfortunate circumstances. The 200 weekend bags of food will be delivered by volunteers working with Treasure Island, Las Vegas and have been put together by local Eagle Scouts with funds raised on their own.

"No child should go hungry, there are solutions," said Scott Sullivan, Founder of Caring 4 Kids Foundation. Mr. Sullivan provides tangible hope with the wonderful effort being put on this Easter. While the 200 bags of weekend food are indeed special for children who normally have to go without, the addition of the special Easter baskets makes the holiday even more memorable for the children. According to Mr. Sullivan, the Easter baskets will be filled with all sorts of surprises as well as some empowering messages all geared at making the children feel loved and special.

When asked what the overall message of this special event should be, Mr. Sullivan replied, "The average age of a homeless child in the United States is 9 years old. Everyone can make a difference. This Easter, let's make a difference together."
