CareMore Health Plan Names Dr. Brian Burns Regional Medical Officer for Stanislaus County

CareMore Health Plan, a leading Medicare advantage health plan, has named Brian J. Burns, M.D. as Regional Medical Officer for Stanislaus County.

Los Alamitos (I-Newswire) January 24, 2013 - CareMore Health Plan, a leading Medicare advantage health plan, has named Brian J. Burns, M.D. as Regional Medical Officer for Stanislaus County. In his new role, Dr. Burns is responsible for CareMore’s clinical operation in the Modesto area of CareMore’s Northern California market, including care centers in Stanislaus County.

“Dr. Burns has served as a leading primary care provider and hospitalist for medical groups and urgent care centers, respectively,” said Dr. Ken Kim, Chief Medical Officer of CareMore Health Plan. “He is an experienced physician leader whose passion for exceptional clinical care is shared by our entire CareMore leadership team, clinical and non-clinical alike.”

Dr. Burns received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Utah and medical degree from the University of Southern Florida. He was awarded the Charles W. Hall Coronary Care Unit Resident of the Year award from the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center in 2008.
