"My goal for writing this book is to help all caregivers provide safer home health care," Laurienne stated. "We want to provide family caregivers and professional caregivers with the tools and knowledge to manage home health care complexities, such as; medications, daily care tasks and difficult dementia behaviors."

Caregiver Rx is not exclusively for senior or elderly care, with a home maintenance chart, fire and emergency evacuation plan, and daily schedule it allows any home to be more organized. Read the customer testimonials below.

"Many facilities supply care for the elderly, such as: senior care homes, long term care, adult day care, and dementia home care," Laurienne explained, "Caregiver Rx helps the family caregiver maintain that safe care by including care guidelines for dementia and over thirty other medical diagnoses. Caregivers can learn specifically how to give care, what to monitor for and when to notify the doctor. That enables caregivers the ability to provide the same level of care by following the step-by-step directions."

Caregiver Rx® is now available on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. The Caregiver Rx® book was written and contains care forms designed by Laurienne MillerSimard, a licensed Registered Nurse with over 25 years experience in health care.

Testimonials
By Nora Vandenberghe
I had the opportunity to care for my Grandfather during the last nine months of his life. Without any professional medical experience, I knew I could support him emotionally but I needed help with just about everything else.

This is where Caregiver Rx came in. The easy to use forms allowed me to manage his medications, provided me with guidance on daily care, track any changes he went through (very important as it helps doctors to see any patterns developing)and I was able to take him to his doctors' appointments with all of his info on handy forms which made communication so much easier.

I can't say enough how great the Caregiver Rx book is and I highly recommend it for anyone who is currently caring for a loved one, or might be doing so in the future. My family was so impressed with the care I was able to provide for my Grandpa and even though he passed away last year, I know how much he appreciated what I did for him and I wouldn't have been able to do it without Caregiver Rx.

Caregiver Rx is just what I needed!, March 3, 2010
By Joe O'Dell

I recently started taking care of my mother after she had a stroke. I brought her into my home and without much experience in the healthcare field; I was unsure how to manage her care, medications, diet, exercise, etc. This book has provided me with the information I needed and has taught me how to provide excellent care.

The medical charts and documentation system is very much appreciated by her doctors when we go in for routine visits and it allows them to view her progress in a professional way. I am confident that she is getting the care she needs and I would highly recommend this book to anyone that will be taking care of a loved one.

Caregiver Rx Made Taking Care of Dad Easier, March 3, 2010
By John H. Douglass "landsharkjd"

My father is 90 years old and now lives in an assisted care facility in his own apartment. It's been a struggle for Dad because of the loss of his independence. Caregiver Rx has given him more control over his life because the charts for daily medications, activities, and tasks allow him to monitor his care. Even though his meds are dispensed by the nursing staff, he participates by maintaining his chart.

He also has a record that goes with him to his doctor allowing him to have an in-depth discussion about his health. His doctor is able to see the daily activities and incident reports, which make it easier to suggest possible changes in Dad's routine.
