Carbona Introduces StainTalk - Cleaning Heroes United

Delta Carbona LP, the oldest manufacturer of stain removal products in the United States, will empower consumers with the launch of its social media project "StainTalk - Cleaning Heroes United?.

NEW JERSEY (March 11, 2010) -- Delta Carbona LP, the oldest manufacturer of stain removal products in the United States, will empower consumers with the launch of its social media project "StainTalk - Cleaning Heroes United", by providing a premier destination for anyone interested in learning about stain removal, stain prevention and personal experiences, trivia, images and videos.

"We've been following the world of social media for some time now, and we know that Carbona has something to add to the mix," said Stefan Monz, business and development director of Delta Carbona. "We're also excited to learn from the conversation at StainTalk and then applying our customers' sentiments to our brand and product development."

StainTalk uses the opportunities of multiple social networks to harness the existing conversation Carbona has with its clients to deliver a virtual repository of cleaning tips and tricks, as well as a look at the lighter side of creating and removing stains.

"StainTalk offers people many ways to join in the conversation. We want anyone who has a relevant story to share their experience," said Tim Wells, president of Delta Carbona. "Carbona has always been a very family oriented company and we look at our social media program as a way to let our customers become a part of our extended family."

Launching in early March following a significant update of Carbona's website, StainTalk is spearheaded by non-traditional marketing firm conceptbakery and will span from a microsite to a Facebook fan page and Twitter channel.

"Most people don't consider how present stains are in their daily lives. In the project's planning process, we realized just how beneficial StainTalk can be to a broad audience," said Klaus Holzapfel, managing partner for conceptbakery USA. "Just imagine all the cursing happening when spilling and staining occurs. Compare that to being able to sit back, relax and even laugh because you know what to do."

With StainTalk's premiere, Carbona will initiate the "Carbona Cares" program by supporting Ubuntu Now, a non-profit organization whose current efforts are focused in South Africa. Ubuntu Now is dedicated to preventing rape and domestic violence through the promotion of gender equality among boys and young men. Additionally, the organization offers psychological support to victims of rape and domestic violence, including those who have contracted HIV/AIDS as a result of these crimes.

"We see Ubuntu Now as a great fit for our family brand," said Monz.

Carbona has made an initial contribution of $10,000 and will be updating its customers on the program's progress through the StainTalk Facebook fan page.
