Bring Your Pasta Art to R & V Italian Market and Deli, Receive One(1) Free Side / Child-Size Pasta

Lak Forest, IL (I-Newswire) March 4, 2013 - A new addition to Lake Forest and Lake Bluff eateries, R & V Italian Market and Deli, invites Macaroni Artists of all ages to start working on their best pasta art! Bring completed masterpieces to the Deli, and in appreciation, enjoy a free side/child-size pasta.

This event runs for the entire month of March, and no submissions will be rejected. Pasta is yummy to eat, and a wonderful crafting medium! If you're bored with plain pasta, the Deli suggests dying it different colors. Mix two teaspoons of white vinegar with 10-12 drops of food coloring in a Ziploc bag. Add a half cup of any type of pasta (elbow macaroni is R & V's favorite!), and shake to coat pasta in coloring. Let color set for five minutes, then dump pasta onto a paper towel and let dry for another five minutes. Fusilli castles, bow-tie landscapes, and ziti necklaces are just a few examples of pasta creativity that the Deli hopes to see in the upcoming weeks. All artwork will be displayed throughout the Deli. Benny, the humorous Deli Manager, is excited to see what will adorn his counters and walls for the first month of spring.

Pasta dishes showcased on the R & V Menu include: Baked Ziti with Marinara Sauce, Gnocchi, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Meat or Cheese Ravioli, Penne Vodka, and Spaghetti with Garlic & Oil. Traditional Italian subs, hot sandwiches, appetizers and pizzas round out the fare at this festive and spacious Deli and Market. Generously-sized salads are also available.
