Cake Pops Go Nationwide

Candice Christopher, Founder and CEO of Candy’s Cake Pops, started producing Cake Pops in late 2009. After bringing in a few homemade Cake Pops to work, people were hooked. Candice then realized that she could turn her dream of baking everyday into a reality. Friends and family became her official taste testers and helped guide her along the way. Utilizing the skills from her childhood, Candice bakes treats that not only taste amazing but look just as good. Only using the freshest ingredients, Candice mends high fashion with good taste.

In December of 2010, Candice launched her new e-commerce website (www.cakepops.com) “I was a little nervous at first but I had put my heart and soul into making Candy’s Cake Pops for the past year and I knew they were the best tasting, most sophisticated and truly a one-of-a-kind product in the market. I felt and still feel as though I had accomplished that goal and I wanted to build an e-commerce website that allowed for a user-friendly experience for customers to purchase and ship across the country”

This certainly seems to have been a good choice as Candy’s Cake Pops has blossomed into a small powerhouse in the online confectionary business. Cakepops.com has been exceeding 1,000 site visitors a day as of late and according to Candice, “…orders have been coming in through the roof” but according to Candice it’s not all about the online store, it’s about the product.

“It’s not just the online store that has allowed us to grow” Candice says “It’s also word of mouth. When people taste our Cake Pops, their facial expressions turn into amazement. We have been contacted by wedding planners, grocery stores, luxury hotels, coffee houses and by small-to-large events all over the country. These customer leads generally come via word of mouth.”

Candy’s Cake Pops continues to make strides in this new confectionary sub-category and there are no signs of the young company slowing down. This, in no small part, has to do with the fact that Candice’s Cake Pops have a one-of-a-kind taste that to-date no one has been able to copy. When asked what in her recipe makes the difference, Candice responded “Nice Try!”
