Café Prevention Expands Product Line to Include Teen Dating Violence Prevention Posters

According to the American Bar Association’s 2008 “National Teen Dating Violence Prevention Initiative”, 1 in 2 teens in a serious relationship has compromised personal beliefs to please a partner. In the 2007 Technology and Teen Dating Abuse Survey, 1 in 3 teens in a relationship have a partner who frequently asked them where they were and who they were with.

In the 2006 study commissioned by Liz Claiborne, 1 in 4 teens who had been in a serious relationship said their partner had tried to prevent them from spending time with family and friends; the same number had been pressured to only spend time with their partner. In the same study, 1 in 5 teens that had been in a serious relationship reported being hit, slapped, or pushed by a partner.
