Cleveland, OH – The annual Consortium of African American Organizations’ (CAAO) Online Business Showcase Auction officially launched, Friday, October 1st, and will run through Sunday, October 31st at www.biddingforgood.com/caaoauction2010. The Auction is sponsored by Case Western Reserve University, NEORSD, PNC, and Medical Mutual of Ohio, and is open to bidders all over the country. Proceeds will go to help business owners take their businesses to the next level via a variety of CAAO entrepreneurial programs.

Over $74,000 in products and services have been donated including, financial planning, marketing and communications, non-profit management, project management training and examination preparation, dental services, and more. “We also have several unique and exciting donations,” said Connie Atkins, Executive Director of CAAO, “including tickets to see Lady Gaga and U2, a U2 autographed Air Brush Guitar, and a hot air balloon ride.” “We really encourage everyone to go online to check out all of the incredible items up for bid. Many people, in past auctions, have been able to enhance their businesses by purchasing a product or service at a significantly reduced price – something that they may not have, otherwise, been able to take advantage of at the retail price.
