Prior to joining C&M Norton served as the Director of Product Engineering at General Cable where he led a geographically dispersed team of engineers supporting the product development, applications engineering, and sustaining engineering functions for the specialty cable, industrial cable, and specialty harness business units. His team supported various industry segments including industrial, marine, transit, mining, nuclear, military and automotive.
Prior to General Cable, Norton served as Senior Director of Product Development for JDS Uniphase's Optical Amplifier business unit and held various management roles at AT&T.

Norton holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, a master's degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University, and a second master's degree in business management from Purdue University.
