Chicago, IL (I-Newswire) October 17, 2012 - Business Litigation Attorney Kathryn Walker returns to The Patterson Law Firm, LLC after completion of a clerkship with The Honorable Corinne Beckwith at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, 430 E. St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.

The District of Columbia Court of Appeals is the city's highest court—equivalent to that of a state supreme court. President Barack Obama nominated Judge Beckwith to the court in April of 2011, making her his first nominee to the local appeals court.

Walker took an approved leave of absence from The Patterson Law Firm, LLC in December of 2011. After nearly a year of serving under Judge Beckwith, she returns to firm’s downtown Chicago office to handle business-to-business matters concerning b2b fraud, breach of contract, construction disputes and emergency business litigation.

Walker graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Law School where she received the Craig T. Spangenberg Award for Outstanding Oral Advocacy for her work in the Michigan Clinical Law Program, representing a variety of clients in state and federal court.
