Bumperchute Co., the makers of a versatile tailgate command post canopy for first responders who use SUVs in emergency response situations, will be demonstrating the Bumperchute on a Chevy Suburban at the 2013 Fire Department Instructors Conference.

Bumperchute Co., are makers of versatile tailgate extension canopies that shelter first responders who are using their sport utility vehicle's rear as a Command Post. Bumperchute Co. is pleased to be attending the 2013 Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC®), occurring on April 22nd through 27th in Indianapolis, Indiana. While the conference will be utilizing two side-by-side buildings-the Indianapolis Convention Center and the adjacent Lucas Oil Stadium-Bumperchute Co. invites attendees to come by and visit them in the Indianapolis Convention Center at Booth #3357 between the 25th and the 27th of April.

Presenting a demonstration a Chevy Suburban tailgate canopy illustrating the Bumperchute attached to the rear of a Chevy suburban-which are vehicles commonly used by first responders as rear-vehicle command posts with sensitive equipment installed in them-Bumperchute will exhibit to first responders the advantages of having a Command Post area that's protected from sun glaring on computer screens, wet weather jeopardizing sensitive equipment, and wind annoyances like important paperwork being blown around. Instead, the addition of a Bumperchute and its corresponding accessories to the rear of a first responder's sport utility vehicle identifies the vehicle as a Command Post and allows the Incident Commander to work quickly at the time of an incident without being bothered by uncooperative weather-rain or shine.

The Fire Department Instructors Conference and Exhibition (FDIC) is the world's largest firefighter training conference that has built an enormous reputation and credibility, especially since it is now in its 85th year. As the FDIC puts it, "FDIC has proven year after year that it is the premier conference and exhibition for the fire industry. With the largest gathering of decision-makers, trainers and experts-as well as manufacturers and suppliers, FDIC serves as a spearhead for networking, relationship development and future revenue growth."

This seven-day, 2013 conference will feature over 200 classroom sessions with engaging and important topics ranging from fast food restaurant fires to aircraft emergencies. In addition, over 70 workshops will instruct attendees about important topics like building effective teamwork and how to think like an incident commander. The FDIC's 19 hands-on training classes show lifelike demonstrations and offer hands-on training for issues from grain bin rescues to advanced vehicle extrications. With over 800 exhibitors in two humongous buildings, one of which is the Lucas Oil Stadium that can handle large vehicle exhibitions reaching towards the sky, this monumental conference event is a cornerstone of firefighter training, products, and new information.
