Browns Ladders Becomes CHAS Accredited

Lancashire-based Browns Ladders has become an accredited member of CHAS, further highlighting its commitment to health and safety.

Browns Ladders is proud to announce that is now an accredited member of the Government's Contractors Health and Safety Scheme (CHAS).

As a CHAS accredited supplier, Browns customers can recognise that the company is compliant with important aspects of health and safety law.

CHAS provides guidance on how the company can continually improve.

The scheme, nationally recognised by public and private sector organisations, is a strict assessor of contractors' health and safety standards and competence.

Barbara Ginley, of Browns Ladders, said: "We see this as a key achievement.

"Aside from the assurance that Browns Ladders has lived up to the standards set by CHAS, the accreditation highlights our high standards in health and safety."

CHAS is available to suppliers and to organisations looking for competent suppliers.

The scheme ensures that member businesses can adequately manage health and safety on the basis of a number of criteria, including:

- Health and safety policy statement- Their organisation for health and safety

- Their specific health and safety arrangements to a standard acceptable to buyers and to others.

In addition to CHAS, Browns is accredited from SAFEcontractor, a programme that recognises very high standards of health and safety practice among UK contractors.
