Brown's Lame Britishness Campaign will not work in Scotland say Independence First

Niall Aslen, the National Treasurer of Independence First commented: "Westminster must be running scared of the sharp rise in Scots seeking
Independence. This lame 'Britishness' campaign will not work in Scotland in fact it will have the opposite effect."

Scottish National Party activist Bill Wilson said: "Brown calls for 'a modern view of Britishness founded on responsibility, liberty and fairness'.
Well Mr Brown, I have a good starting point. In 300 years the people of Scotland have not had a vote on the British Union, surely in the interests
of "responsibility, liberty and fairness" that vote is now rather overdue."

The Scottish Republican Socialist Movement's Donald Anderson added: "We in Scotland and Wales should call for a Union Jack day too. Bring plenty of so called "Union" flags to your local Town Council offices, soaked in spirit, and light them up in protest for all the damage done at home and abroad under the bloody shadow of the "Butcher's Apron."
