"We came up with the idea of iceDrops during a hot summer afternoon at a friend's cottage", noted co-founder Jason Post. "We thought there had to be a better way to cool our drinks without diluting them." he said. "We were aware of soapstone cubes on the market, but we knew we had to improve upon the basic and rudimentary designs by crafting our own interesting shapes. We also wanted to avoid the softness of soapstone, which we felt scratched too easily and imbued a mineral taste."
