"Brandon brings a deep understanding of the current digital revolution and a strong focus on innovation through new media," said Jim Kirk, Editor in Chief of Sun-Times Media. "Business and sports are high-interest categories in Chicago and readers are telling us they want more video from us. "
"The Wrapports team is clearly committed to innovation," said Brandon Copple. "What excites me most about working with them is their entrepreneurial spirit. The media business has been through some rough times, but there are tremendous opportunities for a company like Wrapports that is willing to take risks and think creatively about delivering the news."
Prior to joining Groupon in 2010, Copple was the Managing Editor at Crain's Chicago Business from 2004 to 2010.
