Brainteaser Puzzle Book Awarded for Creativity

(Winsted, CT - October 5, 2009) Scott and Brigitte Rouleau are no strangers to creativity. Their first brainteaser puzzle book, "Morsel Munk Word Stump", wins prestigious Preferred Choice Award in the 2009 Creative Child Awards Program.

For years Scott and Brigitte have challenged people with their clever word stumps - words from the English language, broken down into component words, which are then swapped with synonyms, antonyms, or other words to create puzzle clues. As an example, the clue for "overnight" is "under-day". That's an easy one.

It comes as a great honor that Morsel Munk Word Stump (ISBN: 978-0-615-22730-6) received this award. The program, sponsored by Creative Child Magazine, judges based on criteria for nurturing creativity and education in children. A panel of more than 100 moms, music educators, and early education professionals reviews the products. Finalists for DVD, CD, Book, Game and Toy of the Year receive Preferred Choice Awards.

"We're thrilled to receive this recognition," says Scott. "It's validation that we accomplished our goal of promoting creativity. We strongly believe everyone is equally capable of being creative, and Morsel Munk Word Stump gives people a new avenue to stretch their minds and exercise their creative muscles."

According to Brigitte, "Though the award is for nurturing creativity and education in children, the book is intended to do just that for all ages. In fact, young children typically benefit from assistance, which provides a great family bonding activity."

Scott and Brigitte leave you with this parting Word Stump challenge. The clue is: "off-middle". What's the real word? Happy puzzling!
