Boxopus Enables Torrent Downloading To Dropbox

A new web service called Boxopus has enabled the Dropbox users to download Torrent files directly into their accounts anonymously without the help of BitTorrent clients.

San Francisco (I-Newswire) July 9, 2012 - Dropbox cloud hosting and synchronization services have become one of the leading web services over the years. Since its release in the market in the year 2007, it has been demanded and loved by its users due to its easy adaptability. Recently, the service has announced its alliance with another newly launched application called, Boxopus service, allowing BitTorrent users to directly download Torrent files into their Dropbox accounts.

Using the Application Programming Interface of Dropbox, Boxopus allows the users to anonymously download Torrent files without any help from BitTorrent client, and synchronizes them throughout all the systems and devices. However, use of Dropbox API does not permit the Boxopus services to access the files and folders that are being stored in the user’s account. According to the sources, the new service enables the Torrent sites to add it as a one-click downloading option on their sites, while some websites like, TorrentReactor, Fulldls.com, Vertor.com and Torrentzap.com have already integrated the service. The source also added that the downloading process using Boxopus might appear to be a bit time consuming due to the limited sync speed of the Dropbox.

Report confirms that, using Dropbox testimonials to pair Dropbox with Boxopus is totally a secured process, allowing the users to incorporate as many torrents as they like. The Boxopus officials also confirmed that the service can be availed free of cost and limitlessly during its beta testing process, while on completion of the process; the company will impose certain limits on its free subscriptions.

Hence, the company has taken a step forward to unite with services like Dropbox and BitTorrent so as to make downloading of files and folders an easy process without the need to use BitTorrent client. Emphasizing on the advantages of the service, Alex also added that, it enables the users to download files unknowingly and can be operated from anywhere.
