Bow Valley Power Announces Fixed Rate EcoLogo Certified Green Power Plan
Bow Valley Power announced today it’s offering a fixed rate electricity contract for EcoLogo Certified green power. The three year rate is 10.35 cents per kWh, and can be exited with 15 days notice with no fees or penalties.

The three year rate is 10.35 cents per kWh, and can be exited with 15 days notice with no fees or penalties.
“Electricity in Alberta is incredibly polluting”, says Charlie Bredo, owner of Bow Valley Power. “Alberta power comes predominantly from coal and natural gas, Albertan’s need to realize the effects this has on the environment.’ By purchasing green power, renewable energy is added to the grid to offset the conventional power used, which ultimately leads to more green generation. With more green generation, electricity in Alberta becomes cleaner and Alberta power is less harmful for the environment.
Under the new rate, customers can buy electricity in Alberta at great rates, while getting an EcoLogo certified product, which is better for the environment. Most Alberta power companies don’t offer a bundled green electricity product to residences and small businesses. This new product by Bow Valley Power makes it easy for Albertans to buy renewable energy.
Bow Valley Power offers this rate throughout Alberta. Operating in the Fortis and ATCO territories, as well as Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge and Edmonton power areas makes this plan widely available.
