Althea Lawton-Thompson and Victor Ledbetter collaborate on the lecture series, Keep It Real. The two Atlanta entrepreneurs teach future business owners what business textbooks leave out.

Atlanta, GA (I-Newswire) January 19, 2012 - Under normal networking circumstances, an aerobics studio owner would probably not partner with the owner of a cupcakery but in the realm of educating future business owners about launching new ventures, but these two make a perfect pair. Althea Lawton Thompson is the owner and director of Aerobics, Yoga, and More (AYM) in Lilburn, Georgia. Althea has worked with various hospitals and wellness centers since 1996 creating fitness programs for and teaching special populations like prenatal women, obese youth and those suffering from debilitating diseases. In 2005, she and her husband opened AYM, building an eco-friendly building that promotes health and wellness. Althea has produced and starred in the video series Altheatized which has been reviewed by magazines and newspapers like Essence, Parenting and Oxygen.

Victor Ledbetter is the owner of The Cup Gourmet in Atlanta, Georgia. Victor started his career in banking and insurance and most recently traveled the country working with Fortune 200 companies with IBM as a consulting executive. In March of 2011, Victor turned his passion for baking into an enterprise by opening The Cup Gourmet, a café in the new Town Brookhaven shops. The menu serves up vegan and gluten-free choices as well as traditional and beloved favorites.

Althea and Victor will impart their vast knowledge in a series of lectures entitled Keep it Real: Bootcamp for Business Start-ups…What the Books Don’t Tell You.
