Boise Idaho, March 8, 2013 - Good Cacao® LLC, winner of the 2011 “Best New Finished Product” at Expo West/ NUTRACON, announces new sustainable product packaging.

Boise, Idaho (I-Newswire) March 10, 2013 - In line with Good Cacao’s® sustainable corporate mission, the company has reworked the products’ packaging. In 2012, Good Cacao® implemented the use of recyclable and biodegradable FSC certified cardboard made from renewable forests, and printed with vegetable-based inks. The new package was the "envelope" for their Superfood Chocolate® bars, protecting the inner bar, and allowing Good Cacao® plenty of copy space to tell their amazing story. Following the positive response to these changes, Good Cacao® has now begun using a new bio-film wrapping to package their Superfood Chocolate®. The bio-film has a silver metallic finish, which is both aesthetically appealing and functional, as it provides better protection to the organic chocolate bar. The film is plant-based, completely biodegradable, supporting Good Cacao’s® sustainable efforts. Good Cacao is also 100% carbon neutral, partnering with the Carbon Fund® to offset their footprint.

Developed by Innovia Films, the new bio-film is the latest innovation in sustainable packaging.
