The Sex Scandal involving Bishop Eddie Long has opened another door into the lavish lifestyles of Mega Church Pastors. As a result many members should probably to leave their wallets in the car before they enter these cash sucking sanctuaries.

The Church Folk Revolution says that since the launch of their site last week they have received nonstop complaints about out of control Pastors. The website has a section titled "Preacher Alerts" in which members are allowed to report a Pastor that they feel is depleting the resources of the church or is engaging in scandalous behavior.

Purchases like jets, expensive cars, real estate valued in the millions, nonstop construction projects unrelated to the mission statement of their 501C3 proposal, funding of personal services like personal chiefs, chauffeurs, and executive assistants are all financed with tithes and offerings.

Making a financial donation to one of these churches now means that members are paying for lifestyles that they could only dream of.

With so much emphasis placed on members contributing 10% of their gross income to the church, it's no wonder that some many faithful believers lost their homes during the Sub-Prime Loan debacle. How could they afford it to give 10% of their income in the face of ballooning house notes and sky rocketing finance charges?

Mega Church Pastors could have very well played a minor part in the recent housing crisis, especially if some members opted to give their house note to the church verses sending it to mortgage companies like Wells Fargo. A spokesperson for The Church Folk Revolution (www.PimpPreacher.com) stated that many Mega Church Pastors build their entire ministries on Malachi 3:10 which says -

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

"As you can clearly see that this is a very powerful scripture because it is a direct quote from God which instructs the believer to give to the church. The tragedy is many Pastors are corrupting this scripture in order to get members to support their out of control spending and the absolute control over church finances that many of them mandate" says Ron Collins of the Church Folk Revolution.

Ron Collins went on to say that there are other scriptures that Pastors impose on their members in order to squeeze every available dime out of the congregation such as Malachi 3:8 and Matthew 10:41 "He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward."

Regardless of the method used here is the one thing that is for certain, Pastors are now living the same lifestyles that came into question with the Fund Managers of AIG and Lehman Brothers.

The Church Folk Revolution is also on the lookout for Pastors of smaller congregations who desire to live like a Mega Church Pastor but have yet to acquire the necessary members. The group feels that this is where you find some of the harsher shakedown tactics when they come across Pastors who only have 200 - 300 members.
