Beta LaserMike Partners with NDC Infrared Engineering to Show Non-Contact Laser Measurement Solution at INDEX 11

Dayton, Ohio USA (I-Newswire) March 8, 2011 - Geneva, Switzerland – Beta LaserMike, a leading global provider of precision measurement and control solutions, will demonstrate the non-contact measurement advantages of its LaserSpeed encoder at INDEX 11 located at the Geneva Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland (April 12 – 15). Beta LaserMike will partner with sister company NDC Infrared Engineering in booth 1411 to display this widely adopted non-contact measurement solution.

The LaserSpeed system uses advanced, laser-based technology to precisely measure the length and speed of product during production without making contact with the moving goods. This laser encoder projects a unique pattern on the surface of the product. As the product moves, light is scattered back to the LaserSpeed unit. This information is translated into product speed and pulses are produced to determine the product length. LaserSpeed works on all products, regardless of shape, color, or texture. Length and speed measurements are captured with better than +0.05% accuracy. Beta LaserMike offers a complete line of LaserSpeed encoders with measurement speeds up to 39,400 ft/min (12,000 m/min), standoff distances to 39.4 in (1000 mm), and measurement depth of field to 3.0 in (100 mm). Beta LaserMike also offers a European certified length measurement system that meets MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) 2004/22/EG requirements.
