Bay Area Company to Participate in White House Easter Egg Roll

Gimbal's Fine Candies to Donate 50 Cases of Candy to 134th Annual Event

South San Francisco based confectioner Gimbal's Fine Candies will participate in the 134th annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, April 9th, by donating over 50 cases of their gourmet candies to the event.

A favorite decades-old tradition, the famed Egg Roll is a race where children roll an egg through the grass with a long handled spoon.

"We are honored to be providing a sampling of our candy at this historic event", said Karin Vollrath, sales and marketing director for Gimbal's Fine Candies. "Gourmet Jelly Beans are a staple in every Easter Basket, and because all our products are allergen-free, we know that Gimbal's candy is something that everyone can enjoy this holiday."

Founded in 1898, Gimbal's Fine Candies is one of the only major confectionary manufacturers in the country that has committed to be free of the eight major food ingredients that are responsible for over 90% of food allergies. These food allergens include peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, fish and shellfish. In order to eliminate risk of cross contamination, these eight foods are not included in Gimbal's recipes, nor are they permitted inside their production and packaging facilities.

All of the products from Gimbal's Fine Candies are made with pride in the USA and are certified Kosher Pareve by the Orthodox Union.

In addition to the 41 Flavor Gourmet Jelly Beans, Gimbal's also produces Cherry Lovers® Candies, Honey Lovers® Candies, Sour Lovers® Candies, All Natural Licorice Scotties®, chewy cinnamon LavaBalls® and Sour Gourmet Jelly Beans.
