Balentine, an independent, employee-owned investment management firm, was named a Top Money Manager by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and a Premier Advisor by the National Association of Board Certified Advisory Practices (NABCAP). These awards come on the heels of a recent Investment News announcement naming Balentine one of their Top Ten Up and Coming Registered Investment Advisors. Founded in January 2010, Balentine serves individuals, families and not-for-profit institutions and currently has more than $930 million in assets under management.

"This is a wonderful recognition of what we've been able to accomplish in just nineteen months as a firm. We have built a team that provides exceptional service to our clients and bottom line results to protect and preserve their wealth," said Robert Balentine, Chairman and CEO of Balentine.

Robert Balentine and ten partners launched Balentine, LLC in January 2010. However, the firm's history begins much earlier with Balentine & Company, the legacy firm founded by Balentine and his father in 1987. At the time of Balentine & Company's acquisition by Wilmington Trust in 2002, they were the largest privately owned investment advisory firm in the southeast.

Balentine expects to reach $1 billion in assets under management before its second anniversary. This fast-growing firm now has 25 employees, with offices in Atlanta, Raleigh and Baltimore serving most of the eastern seaboard. The Balentine team is comprised of three Ph.D.s, seven CFA® charter holders, the former director of research for the Shanghai Stock Exchange and three former chief investment officers of multi-billion dollar institutions. Of Balentine's current employees, nearly half are women and one quarter have lived or were educated outside of the United States.

About The National Association of Board Certified Advisory Practices and the Atlanta Business Chronicle
