B2B Portal, Enterpriser.in Re-launches with a New Look

Renews its focus on being the bridge between vendors and small- and medium-sized businesses for guidance with IT solutions and services

Enterpriser.in, a portal that has long been known for its focus on the small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) has re-launched itself with an entirely new look and feel. Under the auspices of parent company Enterpriser Media, Enterpriser.in will continue to strive to strike a rapport with its SMB and SME audience, rather than just be a reference point. Sporting a new, streamlined look, Enterpriser.in will also double up as a meeting point for seekers and providers of IT products and services.

While most technology magazines and websites revolve around consumer IT products, there are none in India that provide a neutral platform, analysing the return on investment (RoI) of deploying technologies for SMBs. For small and medium businesses, it is the need of the hour to deploy only those solutions that have a low total cost of ownership (TCO) and deliver maximum return on investment. Enterpriser.in's objective is to help them achieve that.

"Our objective is to cut through the hype created by technology providers and recommend meaningful solutions to our audience," explains Kunal Rupera, publisher and editor-in-chief, Enterpriser.in.

According to the Small & Medium Business Development Chamber of India, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) contribute to 45 per cent of industrial output, 40 percent of exports, employ 60 million people, and create 1.3 million jobs every year. SME's contribution towards GDP in 2009 was 17 percent and is expected to increase to 22 percent by 2012. And while the SME's contribution towards the GDP in 2009 was 17 percent, it is expected to increase to 22 percent by 2012. IT penetration, however, amongst emerging companies is low - with only 17 percent of SMEs being computerised.

Enterpriser.in can help improve this situation by providing IT-related information to SMBs and SMEs with the latest news, interviews, reviews, how-to's and expert opinions to help deal with queries revolving around tech solutions. "The highlight of Enterpriser is its Forums, which will connect buyers and sellers of IT solutions on a common platform," said Kunal Rupera. The Forum will also be used as a platform for peers to share their experiences, grievances to ensure smooth deployment and operation of IT in their business.

In a recent survey conducted by KS&R, across 100 companies in India (covering verticals such as retail, pharma, banking, wholesale and telecom), it was found that 84 percent of the mid-market Indian enterprises expect to increase IT budgets in 2011. "Even though this is a small sample set, it is obvious that Indian SMBs will need to cross over to some form of 'computerisation' to be able to be more productive and competitive in today's business landscape. IT budgets will always be a concern too. This is where Enterpriser.in fits in. The portal fills the void that exists for SMBs that are on the lookout for IT-related guidance. Enterpriser.in will also allow registered users to interact with like-minded businesses that have already gone through that initial phase," says Kunal Rupera.
