B1 File Manager V0.5: Dropbox Support, Icons Restyled, Media Library Sync Improved

In the latest version of B1 File Manager you can now manage Dropbox cloud storage while enjoining improved media library synchronization and new icons.

Catalina Group presents the updated version of its latest product, B1 File Manager. The 0.5 version supports Dropbox accounts integration, has a media library synchronization improved and icons restyled.

The networking possibilities of B1 File Manager were expanded beyond FTP and SMB by cloud storages synchronization. Now user can work with his files stored inside Dropbox cloud storage. This is implemented in the same fashion as the work with any other network: one can easily upload files to Dropbox storage or transfer files from the cloud to Android local storage. B1 File Manager doesn't limit the number of Dropbox accounts synchronized with the app, so it's possible to work with multiple storages simultaneously.

Media library synchronization principle has been changed. With several bugs fixed, the media scanner updates the library much faster which improves the speed of unpacking. This means that whenever files are moved, deleted or unpacked with B1 File Manager, the device's media library will be kept up-to-date with all the files stored in the local memory.

A significant part of B1 File Manager's icons has been restyled. Launcher, archive formats and network connection icons have received a new modern look that fits the overall style of the latest Android OS version. These new icons and improved media library synchronization were also implemented into B1 Free Archiver latest 0.9.2 version.

Adam Buyer, project leader at B1 says:

"Cloud storages like Dropbox continue to gain popularity among users. Certainly it's handy to have your photos, music, study or work materials stored on a cloud, so you can access them from any device and you don't have to worry that you might lose it. By adding the support for Dropbox accounts in B1 File Manager, we're helping users to manage all their local and cloud-based files with one application, making it universal. Dropbox isn't the only popular cloud storage, so we are planning to include more of them in our future releases.

We've put a great deal of research and work into improving media library synchronization. The way that media scanner interacts with the activities of B1 File Manager and B1 Free Archiver was changed on the most fundamental level. It resulted in the improved speed of unpacking process and faster synchronization of files with the media library.

We care about the looks of our applications just as much as about their functionality. Thanks to the devoted work of our designers' team both our apps can boast new icons that look according to the latest trends and requirements. We hope that our fans will enjoy the way we dressed up their favorite app."
