Award Winning Partnership Between Rose and MVS

Using the Rose Novotronic 160-300 eclosure, Microwave Video Systems developed the PortaQAM Modulator and Demodulators which won the 2012 STAR Award from TV Technology Magazine.

Frederick, Maryland (I-Newswire) June 11, 2012 - MVS and Rose partnered to create an award winning product that provides an innovative and cost effective solution to send an HD ASI signal over new or existing analog microwave systems. The Rose Novotronic 160-300 was used to create the PortaQAM Modulator and Demodulator.

The new Rose NoVoTronic enclosure system offers 5 aluminum profile sizes for robust measurement and control technologies. The NoVoTronic features 2 multi-function side profiles that can be used for attaching wall-mount brackets, straps, or other mechanical devices without machining the enclosure itself. Diecast aluminum lids with gaskets complete the enclosure and provide protection up to IP 65.

The MVS-4101-P PortaQAM Modulator coupled with the MVS-5108-P PortaQAM Demodulator can be used over new or existing analog portable radios from 2-40GHz. ATSC 19.39 Mbps data streams are seamlessly transmitted by the Modulator and received by the Demodulator to provide excellent link performance and system reliability while maintaining full analog transmitter power. The BB Mod/Demod’s can be used anywhere an ASI transport stream is need over baseband providing a cost effective solution for digital transmissions.

MVS PortaQAM Modulator / Demodulator manufactured by Microwave Video Systems is the recipient of the 2012 STAR (Superior Technology Award Recipient) Award presented by the editorial staff of TV Technology magazine at the 2012 NAB Show. TV Technology is the industry’s leading magazine for technology news and reviews and is celebrating its 29th year covering the television industry.
